Activision’s ever-popular first-person shooter series may be boring with its annual releases, but never underestimate its popularity. Call of Duty: Vanguard is making its debut in the UK boxed game rankings all the way to the top, toppling FIFA 22 after several weeks at number one. The WWII shooter appears to be another successful entry, and Sony’s ongoing marketing strategy with the brand continues to bear fruit. When Vanguard first appeared on the rankings, it was selling the best on PlayStation 5, with a 41% share.
A little further down, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales returned to the top 10 at number five. It seems to be the most trusted version of Sony – whenever PS5 consoles hit shelves, it’s almost always the game that makes a comeback. Either way, right underneath is another superhero title, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy in sixth grade.
A new physical version of Fortnite called the Minty Legends Pack shakes things up, debuting in ninth place, and Far Cry 6 finishes in tenth place. For those of you who are impressed with Grand Theft Auto V’s longevity on the UK charts, you’ll be interested to know that it currently ranks 15th, which is as low as we’ve seen in some time. However, with the GTA Trilogy remastering collection almost here, Rockstar is far from out of the running.
Here’s the latest top 10 in full.
