Oh my! Goose bumps on the islands.

  • Long-awaited UK update is now online after a slight delay
  • It brings more than 70 points of interest, revised airports and five photogrammetry cities.
  • There is also a new iconic flight and two more landing challenges.

The latest global update for Flight Simulator has been released: After two minor postponements, Britain and Ireland are now shining with new splendor as planned and a launch trailer already shows how beautiful a flight over the islands can look.

In addition to generally improved air and altitude data for the island the new update There are also over 70 new POIs in the game, which you can now enjoy while flying. Of these landmarks around the island, a few can be seen in the trailer, including the Forth Bridge in Scotland, the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct in Wales, Salisbury Cathedral in England, and Blarney Castle in Ireland.

You can also expect five new photogrammetry cities, namely Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Oxford and London, all of which now have much more detail. However, this selection, which focuses exclusively on English cities, neither Dublin, nor Edinburgh nor Glasgow, is a shame.

Overall, England sadly dominates very clearly – Wales and Scotland aren’t that well represented when it comes to attractions, for example, but there are still some pretty impressive sights hidden there, as the trailer shows.

Otherwise, you can now also fly to five new artisan airports across the island, namely Barra, Liverpool, Land’s End, Manchester-Barton, and Out Skerries.

Last but not least, there are also some new activities waiting for you to experience. On the one hand, there is a new iconic flight in the northern islands, on the other hand, there are two landing challenges in the Shetland archipelago and in the south-east of England.

You can now download the full UK update for Flight Simulator (trial) for PC and the next big patch pack has already been confirmed – France and the Benelux countries will take care of it.
