Hassle-free inventory management with autonomous radar sensor • Pump NL

Vega introduced the new series of Puls Air radar sensors at Pumps & Valves. These compact, self-contained radar sensors are completely battery-powered and therefore suitable for mobile applications or in locations where power is not available. It then delivers level measurements via the cloud or a mobile network such as NB-IoT / LTE-M or LoRa.

Standalone radar sensor

One of the parties that has gained experience with Puls Air says that wireless instruments can be installed inexpensively, flexibly and reliably, and plug-and-play.

Installation is simple according to the manufacturer. From an adhesive adapter or strap accessory for IBC applications to flanges or threads for tall silos.

Hassle-free inventory management

In applications with plastic tanks, it is even possible for the sensor to measure through the wall of the container. This means that the instrument meets the resistance requirements. The sensor also does not care what medium it has to measure. It complies with the IP68 and IP69 sealing classes and is therefore not hampered by weather conditions or cleanliness in the case of IBCs. During development, the manufacturer tuned the performance of measurement and wireless data transfer to the most economical power consumption possible. Batteries in combination with optimized measurement cycles guarantee a service life of up to ten years. Depending on the measurement frequency and data connection.

The measurement range is 0.5 to 30 meters and the measurement and transfer interval is adjustable between 15 minutes and 24 hours.
