Although we still regret that the Pokémon Center Online for Great Britain is not available in Germany as well, a permanent Pokémon store has now been established in the KaDeWe Berlin Announced. A pop-up shop for Pokémon items was established in KaDeWe Berlin from August to October 2021. After the trial phase was said to be very successful, a permanent Pokémon area, approximately 40 square meters, is now offered in the department store. as part of the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon series.
There you can find official merchandise and trading card items. Featured products include items from Jazwares, Mattel, and Ravensburger. Upcoming Pokémon video games are expected to be shown in the new store as well.
“After an extremely successful two-month pop-up installation at KaDeWe,” according to the official press release, “the partnership will now be permanent.” The new brand area is intended to offer “a great selection of Pokémon toys, licensed products and Pokémon trading card game products.” Highlights of the toys include the Jazwares product line, marketed by Bot-I, which includes a range of silver plush toys and action figures for the 25th anniversary. Mattel’s MEGA CONSTRUX ™ line features a special Pikachu with a party hat and cake for the 25th anniversary. In the Ravensburger Labyrinth, players must navigate various paths to catch most of the hidden Pokémon as quickly as possible.

2021 was the best year for the Pokémon TCG. According to NPD Group, the Pokémon trading card game is by far number one in Germany and, thanks to numerous innovative and attractive enhancements, has grown by 81 percent. The 40-square-meter store, whose centerpiece was a statue of Pikachu, featured the Pokémon trading card game along with toys from Jazwares and Mattel, as well as products from GB Eye and Ravensburger. Pokémon video games are likely to be seen in the new room as well. The next branch of Nintendo Switch will be Pokémon Legends: Arceus on January 28, 2022.
