Update (10/11/21): Following the launch of PlayStation Direct in Germany on Monday, Sony’s online store is now available in the UK:
You can access the UK version of the site via the link. PS Direct will be rolling out to other European countries soon and we expect the list of territories below to grow over time.
Original story: For many optimistic PS5 buyers, PlayStation Direct has been one of the most reliable ways to purchase one of Sony’s coveted consoles. As the name suggests, this is an online store through which the company directly sells PS5 consoles and many other products. While this is a great option, it’s only available in the US, but it looks like PS Direct is finally making its way to European territories.
A tweet from PlayStation UK indicates that the store is beginning to roll out in the region:
Thus, starting today with Germany, PS Direct will finally arrive in Europe. As the tweet indicates, the other countries that will soon receive access are the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, although there is currently no date attached. However, it appears that more information will be available soon.
This is good news, because so far European PlayStation fans have had to stay very up-to-date with the various online stores and when they get the next PS5 stocks, something that has proven to be incredibly complicated, especially when the console sells out. . in minutes. While Store Direct doesn’t guarantee you a PS5, being able to register your interest and join their queue system does at least give you a better chance at punishing yourself.
We’ll keep you posted when the UK version of the site arrives, but it seems like it’s not too far off right now. Are you happy that PS Direct is coming to Europe? Let us know in the comment section below.
