Before the arrival of Pokémon Legends: Arceus tomorrow for Switch, the game is already out of stock on Amazon in certain parts of the world.

Physical copies of the game are temporarily out of stock on the US and UK Amazon websites. Even the sale of digital codes is doing quite well. The game is currently the best-selling Nintendo Switch title on the site and currently also tops the charts as the best-selling video game (across all platforms) in both regions.

To be fair, anything Pokemon is selling like hot cakes, and it’s also been a relatively quiet start to the year in terms of blockbuster releases. Many other major game releases are scheduled for February or later. Amazon sales of the new Pokémon game are also spreading to other parts of the world, as the Twitter user noted. @So_ethereal:

Admittedly, it could be quite an uphill battle for Pokémon Legends: Arceus to match the sales of other Pokémon releases on Switch given that it’s a single game and not two separate versions.

In recent weeks, Legends has also been on the receiving end. Leaks and data mines. Thankfully, that doesn’t seem to have hurt the title’s release. reviews were quite positive.
