According to Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, one person was killed and two others injured in a shelling attack on Saturday in Russia’s Belgorod region, on the border with Ukraine. According to reports, two Ukrainian drones attacked the Waluyski district, causing damage to a private house and a car. Another drone was intercepted by Russian air defenses in the Grayvoronsky district.

In the neighboring Kursk region, which, like Belgorod, borders Ukraine, a woman was injured when a village was shelled on Saturday, according to Governor Roman Starovoit. The governor blamed Ukraine for the attack. Initially, the Ukrainian authorities did not comment on the incidents.

Meanwhile, according to Moscow-installed Governor Alexei Kulemsin, four people were injured by Ukrainian shelling on Saturday in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk, which Russia and the region of the same name have declared annexed to Moscow.

The head of the regional military administration in the Kherson region of southern Ukraine, Olexander Prokudin, reported one person dead and four wounded on Saturday. In Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Mayor Olexander Vikul reported that air defense had repelled an attack.
