The call for the thirteenth edition of the National Wood Construction Award is open until March 15, 2024, in collaboration with the 12 regional interprofessional organizations of the forestry-timber sector. Professionals with a wood project completed since January 1, 2021 can apply online for the regional and then national competition organized by Fibois France. Cabins on the island

After two successful editions, the Cabanes sur l’île festival returns to Lille starting in July 2024. The event imagined by the WAAO (Center for Architecture and Urbanism of Lille), in collaboration with the European metropolis of Lille, Edwood Construction and several municipalities. and associated companies, aims to value “the work of a generation of designers who create, experiment and reveal new design methods“. The event aims to “reconsider the place of the imagination“, work on reuse, to question the notion of a circular economy, but also to promote local knowledge by proposing committed projects.

This year, the cabins – which will be installed in different municipalities of the metropolis – must have a water connection. they will offeraccess to different activities, courses, workshops and exhibitions for all audiences“. Qualified architects, urban planners, landscapers, residents of France and Belgium, are invited to participate and can join forces with other professionals (designers, anthropologists, artists, researchers) for this project.
