An Oklahoma teenager appears to have become the first person to “beat” Tetris.

Willie Gibson posted a video on YouTube showing the moment the classic video game crashes when it reaches level 157.

The stunned 13-year-old gasps, “Oh my God… I'm going to faint.”

“I can't feel my fingers, I can't feel my hands… I'm going to pass out,” Willie adds, trying to catch his breath. “I'm shaking a lot.”

It took just 38 minutes for the teenager, nicknamed Blue Scuti on YouTube, to crash the game, something a human has never done.

Tetris, in which players maneuver and arrange falling blocks into complete lines that then disappear, was created by Soviet engineer Alexey Pajitnov in 1984.

As the player progresses, the speed of the falling blocks increases.

Level 29, which introduces the fastest speed into the game, was long believed to be the furthest level possible.

But as YouTuber aGameScout explains in an analysis of Willie's performance, someone finally reached level 30 in 2011.

Since then, other human players have managed to go even further, but so far only AI computers have reached the true end of Tetris.

Willie wrote in the description of his YouTube video: “When I started playing this game, I didn't expect to fail or beat it.

“This race was also the world record for overall score, level, lines and 19 scores.”
