The video recordings allegedly raise questions after Gil Ofarim’s accusations of anti-Semitism against a hotel employee.
Following Gil Ofarim’s (39) accusations of anti-Semitism against a hotel employee in Leipzig, the video recordings are supposed to raise questions. In early October, the singer reported on Instagramthat a hotel employee had asked her to wrap her necklace with a Star of David. Then you can register.
“Bild am Sonntag” now reports, citing soundless surveillance video from the hotel, where the newspaper shows that Ofarim’s necklace with the Star of David will supposedly not be seen. The “Leipziger Volkszeitung” also says soSurveillance video from the hotel lobby raised “more questions about the Gil Ofarim case.” The evaluation of the video recordings should not be finished yet.
“This is not about the chain”
Gil Ofarim explained to “Bild am Sonntag”: “The phrase that came up came from behind. That means that someone recognized me. It is not about the chain. Actually, it is about something much bigger. Since I often speak with the Star of David on television, I was offended by that. ” It’s not about “whether the chain was seen at the hotel or not. It’s about the fact that I was insulted in an anti-Semitic way.”
Meanwhile, the musician has filed a criminal complaint against the hotel employee. He announced it on Tuesday (October 12) in an Instagram post. The hotel employee had also previously filed a libel complaint against him. According to the allegations, two hotel employees are said to have been given leave for the time being.
