BYD wants to conquer London: new electric double-decker bus with record autonomy

Company BYD Ltd. (ISIN: CNE100000296) presented its latest model of emission-free bus for the British on May 23 in the British megametropolis of London.

This is a new double-decker bus called BYD BD11, which has now been launched in the UK with its launch in London.

The Chinese company also plans to introduce additional electric bus models in single and double-decker versions designed for use in UK provinces.

BYD, which stands for Build Your Dreams, describes this as a “major milestone in environmentally friendly public transport” in the UK.

The new double-decker bus features a high-performance Blade battery system. The battery will soon be used in zero-emission buses in Britain.

The new double-decker bus is powered by a 532 kWh Blade battery, which, according to the manufacturer, should be sufficient for a range of around 640 kilometers.

The power consumption of the new Blade battery is said to be 0.9 miles per kWh, and the battery has a usable capacity of around 457 kWh.

The battery is integrated into the chassis (CTB) of the bus, which aims to reduce weight, increase autonomy and offer more space to passengers.
