Ladies, London Germany and Great Britain want to put their relations on a new basis with a cooperation agreement and regular government consultations. This was announced by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) on Friday after their meeting at the British Prime Minister’s field headquarters, Checkers, near London.

Merkel said a “new chapter” will open after Britain leaves the European Union. Government consultations, that is, deliberations between heads of government and a large number of their ministers on key issues in relations between the two countries, will take place once a year.

In addition, a “friendship treaty or cooperation agreement” is planned, which should map out the full breadth of the relationship, Merkel said.

Merkel was cautious about Britain’s increased involvement in EU discussions. You have to move forward step by step after Brexit.
