ASP Isotopes Inc. has announced that Professor Mike Gorley, chief technologist at the UK Atomic Energy Authority, will join the company’s board of directors. Professor Gorley is Chief Technology Officer at the UK Atomic Energy Authority and Visiting Professor at the University of Bristol, UK. He is a recognized expert in fusion technology and materials. In 2014, Mike completed a DPhil in Materials Science from the University of Oxford, UK, with a thesis on ODS steels (specialized alloys for high performance applications).

Shortly after joining the UK Atomic Energy Authority in 2016, Mike led the establishment of the Materials Technology Group and corresponding Materials Testing Laboratories, as well as the EUROfusion Design, Engineering and Data Integration Group. For the last three years, Mike has served as strategic lead and program area manager for fusion technology at the UK Atomic Energy Authority. In addition to the appointment of Professor Gorleys, Sergey Vasnetsov will leave the board of directors, but will continue to act as a consultant to the company.

As a result of these board changes, the Company plans to comply with NASDAQ listing requirements regarding the number and proportion of independent and non-independent directors.
