Altair acquires World Programming

The American Altair has acquired World Programming, a UK company specializing in data analysis. Through the World Programming platform, multiple data science programming languages, including Python, R, and the SAS language, can be used in a single environment.

WPS Analytics is the name of the worldwide programming platform that Altair is incorporating. It has fully integrated support for the SAS language and support for SQL, Python, R and Hadoop and data exchange, all within one program. Provides access to multiple resources, including big data lakes, the cloud, and mainframes.

World Programming has approximately 500 corporate clients around the world, many of them large corporations, including financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, telecommunications, retail, energy, and consumer products.

World Programming software will be integrated into Altair’s portfolio of data analytics solutions and will be available through Altair Units.
