Former Indian opening batsman Virender Sehwag took to X (formerly Twitter) to brutally troll England after the Ben Stokes-led team suffered a five-wicket defeat in the fourth Test played at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. A victory in the Ranchi Test has helped India retain the No. 2 position in the WTC 2023-25 points table.

India beat England by five wickets in the fourth Test played at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi on Monday (February 26) to seal the ongoing five-match series. The Rohit Sharma-led team successfully chased the target of 192 runs in the fourth innings of the match to take a 3-1 lead in the series. With a victory in the fourth Test, India secured their 17th consecutive Test series victory in India and managed to maintain the No. 2 position in the points table of the 2023-25 World Test Championship.
On the other hand, after losing the third Test in a row, England are now in eighth place. The team led by Ben Stokes has a 19.44 PCT (%). Taking note of the English team’s sorry state in the WTC points table, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag took to X (formerly Twitter) to brutally troll the English team. In his viral tweet, the legendary batsman wrote: “Karlo Entertainment, England. Jeet jaisi boring cheez Bharat, Australia, New Zealand kar lenge.”
Through his tweet, it seemed like Sehwag was trying to delve into England’s Bazball style of playing Test cricket. Bazball has arguably brought life back to Test cricket, but it has not produced the desired results for England against big teams like India and Australia. The English team failed to win the Ashes played in England last year and has now suffered its third consecutive defeat in the Test series on Indian soil.
The fifth and final Test of the ongoing five-match series between India and England will begin on Thursday (March 7) and is scheduled to take place at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. India would like to once again surpass Ben Stokes & Co. in the Dharamsala Test to win the series by a margin of 4-1 and pick up a few more points, which will help India in the World Test Championship.
