26 injured in bus crash in Somerset

A bus crashed in the English county of Somerset on Tuesday morning in sub-zero temperatures. A police inspector told Britain’s PA news agency that 54 passengers were treated by paramedics, 26 of whom were injured. So there were no fatalities.
A total of 70 people were on board when the bus overturned. The vehicle was occupied by workers heading to a nearby nuclear power plant under construction. A motorcyclist was also involved in the accident.
On Twitter, police called on local people to only make trips that are absolutely necessary. Conditions were “extremely icy and dangerous,” he said on Twitter. Dozens of traffic accidents were reported in a few hours.
