The Puy du Fou historical leisure park has partnered with the Parisian publisher Microïds to imagine a video game on the theme of the Puy du Fou. The game is in development for sale in spring 2022. It will be available for all consoles (Play Station, Xbox and Nintendo Switch), as well as for PC.

The video game will offer an original story inspired by the world of the park, the first edition of which will take players through three worlds of Puy du Fou: The Vikings, Le Signe du Triomphe and Le Secret de la Lance. Therefore, the park wants to bring the brand and the universe that make it so unique in the daily life of the French in a more sustainable way.

“With the Microids teams we are going to invent an original story to make this game a true spectacle that will unite the whole family, like all the Puy du Fou creations”, confesses Nicolas de Villiers, president of Puy. du Fou. Microïds will stage the emotions experienced by park visitors with missions and objectives. For now, the video game will be offered in French and will be related to shows in the Vendée park.

Adventure game specialist

The Parisian publisher (50 employees), specialist in adventure games, is notably the creator of the video games Fort Boyard and Koh Lanta. He works with creative studios such as Ocellus, Osome, and Eden Studios. It also adapts licenses like The Smurfs, Marsupilami or the Sisters.

Puy du Fou already lowered its mark last year with Larousse in a board game. Sold exclusively in park stores and on the Internet, it is a kit to organize an escape game giving participants an hour to escape the Vikings.
