Amman – The rejection by the British courts of the action of the pro-polisario NGO “WSC” against the trade agreement between Morocco and the United Kingdom constitutes a political and legal victory for Morocco, said the Jordanian lawyer and international law expert Salah Tamim Al. -Maaytah.
“This decision is of great importance, as it protects the trade agreement between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United Kingdom,” Al-Maaytah, a member of the Coalition for the Autonomy of the Moroccan Sahara, said in a statement to the press. , noting that the free and independent British judicial system handed down its decision in accordance with international treaties and laws, thus giving a lesson in international law and giving more force to the question of the Moroccan Sahara on the international stage and in all instances judicial.
He added that the decision of the British justice will constitute a solid basis for the victory of the question of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom from the legal point of view, especially since the British justice is a specialized justice and is invoked in many cases. .
“This decision follows other decisions taken by the European Union Commission, which adopted the opinions of councillors, local elected officials from the southern provinces and civil society representatives who support the association agreement between Morocco and the Kingdom. united,” he said. continued.
Mr. Al-Maaytah also stressed that this decision enshrines the legitimacy of the Kingdom of Morocco’s sovereignty over its southern provinces and its right to exploit its natural resources in accordance with international legitimacy, as it clearly attests that the puppet entity of the “polisario” in no way represents the people of the Moroccan Sahara and therefore has no right to submit such requests.
In addition, he pointed out that the decision of the British court constitutes a benchmark in other parts of the world, since it lays a foundation that can serve as a guide for future actions aimed at confronting separatist judicial maneuvers in other parts of the world.
Last Thursday, the London Court of Appeal irrevocably rejected the appeal of the separatist NGO ”WSC” against a previous decision of the Administrative Court, rejecting its petition that tried to question the association agreement that links Morocco with the Kingdom United.
This third setback since last December for the enemies of the territorial integrity of Morocco confirms the validity of the association agreement that unites the two countries and that benefits the populations and the development of all the regions of the Kingdom, from north to south.
