It’s even more surprising that the court has now ruled with an update on Oscar and Estelle. Fans then quickly learned a bit more about what the princess and prince got up to during their summer vacation.

Royals: New photos show Oscar and Estelle on vacation

As the court announced, school started again Monday for Oscar and Estelle. The princess started in the fifth school year, her younger brother started in the first grade. However, Oscar started school some time ago, because in Sweden the school starts with class 0.

The most striking thing about the start-of-school photos is how confident Oscar has become in recent years. The seven-year-old smiles directly at the camera in the images the palace shared on Instagram.

That seemed unthinkable a few years ago, because Estelle’s younger brother was known to be extremely uncomfortable with too much publicity. In Sweden, he was nicknamed “Grumpy Prince” by the press because he often made a grumpy face in photos and official appearances.

But the photos that the royal family have now posted on Instagram also reveal something else. They give an idea of ​​where Oscar and Estelle vacationed during their summer vacation. The images show Estelle, for example, standing in front of a Swedish flag with a wreath in her hair. A photo that was apparently taken at a lake where the family spent part of their vacation.

This is also supported by the fact that there is another photo of her and Oscar sitting together on a rock, in the background you can also see a lot of water there. There is also another photo of Oscar in the countryside: the prince is sitting on the grass and stroking the Rio family dog.

The Swedish royals have stuck to a tradition on their vacation: Victoria has been taking the photos of her children, to be published later, herself for years. The official court photographers were not at this festivity either. Similarly, Princess Kate runs it in Britain.

But now the mini royals vacation is officially over and school life starts again. But judging by the first photo, in which Oscar and Estelle smile happily for the camera, that’s no reason for the siblings to be sad.
