Snapchat+ hits 1 million paid subscribers as company announces Priority Story responses, new app icons and more

Snapchat announced an impressive one million subscribers to its Snapchat+ service after six weeks of its official launch. Although Twitter Blue hasn’t reached 500,000 subscribers and already wants to charge more for the service, Snapchat+ will add four new features for its customers.

Starting today, users can access even more exclusive features as part of their Snapchat+ subscription:

  • Priority Story Answers: Your responses will be more visible to Snap Stars.
  • Post View Emoji: Choose an emoji that you want your friends to see after viewing your Snaps. It’s a unique way to sign your Snaps.
  • New Bitmoji backgrounds: Spice up your Bitmoji background with special backgrounds like glitter gold and paradise beach.
  • New app icons: Change the Snapchat app icon on your home screen with new designs.

Snapchat+ is available for $3.99/month and Snapchatters can activate their subscription at any time by visiting their profile. The company said more features will be available on the technology next month.

As of now, Snapchat+ is available in the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, India, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Egypt, Israel, Sweden , Denmark, Norway and the Netherlands. , Switzerland, Ireland, Belgium, Finland and Austria.

One of the main features available with Snapchat+ is the ability to launch a browser-based version. For now, it only supports messages and video calls, but Snap also plans to add support for augmented reality glasses eventually.

Aside from that, Snapchat+ users can add new profile badges, have data insights, view tools, and more.
