Samsung has added a line of French door refrigerators to its bespoke line. The devices were unveiled at CES 2022 in Las Vegas. In addition, there are new technologies in the interior and new color options available throughout the range.

The flat-front French door refrigerator will be available in three-, four-door and Family Hub models. This is a breakthrough because up until now consumers have had to choose between Samsung’s intelligence and bespoke customization.

Family Hub is a smart interface built into the refrigerator that allows users to view the interior remotely, share schedules with the whole family, play music, mirror TV, stream content, and more. It was not available on any custom model until now.

The new French door refrigerators will feature improved camera technology for their View Inside feature, allowing food labels to be scanned.

Additionally, Family Hub will support Alexa in select regions in 2022, so users can integrate Amazon’s home assistant and control capabilities.

To date, the Bespoke line has focused more on aesthetics and dimensions than technology. These are modular refrigerators and fridge-freezers that customers can assemble in any configuration they want and then customize with front panels in different colors.

In the UK, for example, you can buy one-door fridge, one-door freezer and fridge-freezer, and that’s it, so far. There are more options in the United States, where you can also buy the four-door Flex.

Like the Flex, the new custom French door refrigerators feature switchable ‘FlexZone’ compartments that can double as a refrigerator or freezer, depending on what you want to store, and the ‘Beverage Center’, which dispenses filtered and flavored water. .

French door models are available in a glass or steel finish. There are new color options available for each. In glass, these are white, gray, pink, charcoal, morning blue, clementine, and sunrise yellow. In steel, you can choose from Tuscan, Matte Black, Navy Blue, Emerald Green, and Stainless Steel.

It’s reminiscent of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 3 Bespoke Edition.

A bolder color scheme is a welcome change. While the options thus far have included an elegant palette of blues, blushes, and grays, they were too limited to be considered truly custom-made.

If you are in the United States, you can reserve your custom French door refrigerator on the Samsung website and get $ 100 off your purchase. A UK release has yet to be confirmed.
