Prince William is currently traveling to the US to support one of his passion projects. The Earth Shot award, which he launched a few years ago, honors young people who are committed to climate protection with innovative projects.
William has just announced at a celebration event the finalists who will participate in the awards ceremony in Singapore on November 7.
Surprisingly, William also gave some private insights at the event. In an interview with a previous winner of the award, he revealed what he had done so far to pass the time in New York and that he managed to do something he was not used to in Britain. Because William was in New York early in the morning and no one noticed.
Prince William praises morning exercise
Of course, Prince William’s stay in New York is causing quite a stir in the metropolis. According to media reports, many curious onlookers quickly waited for the prince’s arrival in front of the hotel where the Earth Shot Award event was held. However, he apparently entered the building through the back entrance, so those waiting did not see him.

William was then interviewed on stage by Vaitea Cowan. She had won the 2021 Earth Shot award and now she could ask William about his stay in New York. She said that she had heard that the prince had been jogging in Central Park. And William chatted openly about how the “Colorful” reports:
“I decided to join the masses of New Yorkers doing their morning exercise in Central Park.”
The prince almost got a little excited. It was “wonderful to wake up to a sunny morning in New York after it rained yesterday,” he explained.
He added that it was wonderful to be able to breathe fresh air first thing in the morning. “It was wonderful to be back there,” she concluded.
Prince William remains surprisingly unknown
The strange thing: While fans were waiting for William in front of the hotel, he apparently wasn’t recognized in Central Park. There are no pictures of William in his lap to run.
The “Page Six” portal published an image in which it seemed as if William was running through Central Park. However, this is obviously a photomontage.
William’s image comes from an event organized by the Heads Together organization, where William, Princess Kate and Prince Harry ran a race together on a race track. Obviously there are no official photographs or secretly taken snapshots of William in Central Park.
