Rennes airport. Resumption of exchanges with the United Kingdom through the new line to London Gatwick

The official start of the new line between Rennes and London Gatwick airports took place this Friday, May 13. With two flights per week, this easyjet-operated link should play a part in the resumption of trade with the UK, a leading trading partner for the Brittany region.

This new connection between two airports in our network is the result of the joint work of our teams in Rennes and London Gatwick, as well as the excellent relationship we have with easyJet”, has declared Nicolas Notebaert, CEO of Vinci Concessions and Chairman of Vinci*, present in Rennes this Friday, May 13. Michaël Quernez, Vice President of the Brittany Regional Council, Jean Philippe Crocq, President of the Ille-et-Vilaine CCI and Bertrand Godinot, General Manager of easyJet France and the Netherlands were also present at Rennes Bretagne airport to welcome to the first passengers of the new line operated with London Gatwick.

This new connection should promote the resumption of trade between Britain and the United Kingdom, a leading trading partner for the region, which is home to nearly 14,000 British residents. It will also allow Rennes passengers to access more than 100 destinations from London airport.

Easyjet offers two flights per week (Monday and Friday), even up to five flights from the end of June to the beginning of September. It complements those already operated by the company since 2017: Geneva, Lyon, Porto, Toulouse and Nice.
