Hello German rap! Careful! Mister Dardy is confirmed as second coach of “The Voice Rap by CUPRA”. After all, the MC from Stuttgart not only knows how to make a good stop, but also has a unique fluidity. He demonstrated early in his career that double-time lines come from his lips more easily than most German-speaking artists! In any case, Mister Dardy is very interested in “The Voice Rap by CUPRA”.

While backpack and conscious rap was at its peak in Stuttgart, for a long time the city was hardly considered a home for harder lyrics… until 2016.

“Who does it for?” with Eno it becomes a hit

Because in 2016 the rapper Dardan raised dust for the first time in Stuttgart! Together with fellow rapper Eno, the then 18-year-old with Kosovar Albanian roots released the song “Who Does Para?” The song went viral online and the music video now has over 30 million views. Suddenly, the name Dardan was on everyone’s lips and the Zuffenhausen district of Stuttgart became known throughout the country.

Dardan goes platinum twice

Collaborations with well-known rappers like Nimo and Olexesh didn’t take long before Dardan released his debut album “Dardy Luther King” in 2018. Four more studio albums with numerous top ten singles have followed to date. At only 25 years old, the artist already has two platinum and five gold albums to his name, and fills large halls on concert tours.

Inspiration from Great Britain

Dardan’s musical style is similar to English grime. Grime is a style of music originating in Great Britain that has its roots in hip-hop and electronic music, particularly two-step.

This “dirty” music made the rapper a star. Today it’s hard to imagine the German rap scene without him!
