Queen Máxima becomes the Pink Lady of Great Britain

Bright colors, opulent accessories: Queen Máxima likes to have a little more of everything. The Dutch royals really stood out during their state visit to London.

Why boring or classic when you can also be colorful and bold? Queen Máxima probably thought so too and braved the gray autumn weather with a little color. Or rather: with a lot of color. At least the wife of King Willem-Alexander drew a lot of attention to her during an appointment as part of the Dutch state visit.

This was mainly due to the bright pink dress the mother-of-three had chosen for her second day in Britain. The Argentine native paired black pumps, statement earrings, a matching clutch, and a bold hat.

The Dutchwoman of choice did not seem to mind the fact that her choice of clothing was completely out of the ordinary and therefore especially upstaged Duchess Sophie. Prince Edward’s wife was no match for Queen Máxima in her dark blue suit and the men in the group also took a backseat in their dark suits.
