whatsapp was not working in the morning
Apparently, a major outage occurred in the Whatsapp messaging service in the morning: it was not possible to send and receive messages with the service application for several hours. Complaints accumulate in online networks.
The WhatsApp messaging service went down in much of the world during the morning. Numerous users in Europe, Asia, and Africa reported problems sending and receiving texts and videos in the middle of the day. Riots have been reported from Germany, Britain, India and South Africa, for example. The global glitch has now been fixed again. “We have fixed the issue and apologize for any inconvenience,” said a spokesperson for WhatsApp parent company Meta.
Since around 9:00 am, reports of problems with Whatsapp had been piling up on online networks. Upon opening the app, users found that while they were still able to access their conversations, they were no longer able to receive or send new messages. Many users saw a message at the top of the app that the server was connecting, but it wasn’t.
Both Android smartphone users and Apple iPhones were affected. Initially, the reason for the outage was not known in several countries. “We are aware that some people are experiencing sending and messaging issues and we are working to restore WhatsApp as soon as possible,” said a spokesperson for WhatsApp parent company Meta.
