Olympique Lyon: Coach Peter Bosz explains Jerome Boateng’s elimination – INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL

World champion Jérôme Boateng (33) should not have liked this elimination!

Boateng is said to have violently attacked his teammates in recent weeks, French newspaper “L’Equipe” reported. For this reason he would have been expelled from the squad for Saturday’s game against Nice (2-0).

Now, however, Lyon coach Peter Bosz (58) makes it clear: the former Bayern star was allegedly only dropped from the squad for sporting reasons!

Bosz: “I saw a lot of bad things in the newspapers. For me, he wasn’t ready to play today.”

However, the coach didn’t go into the exact reasons why the other regular player wasn’t ready this time…

The former coach of Dortmund, Bosz, also explained after the game against Nice that he was already in talks with the central defender to solve the matter.

Then: Normally, Boateng is one of the absolute regulars at Lyon and was on the pitch in 17 of the 20 league games before Nice.

Lyon are currently sixth in the Ligue 1 table, but they can dream of Europe again after beating Nice.
