British hospitals are once again being disrupted by a strike. Medical trainees are on strike from Thursday morning, June 27, until July 2, to demand better pay.

The trainees are demanding a 35% pay rise to compensate for the austerity of the 2010s. Sumi Manirajan is an obstetrician and representative of the BMA union that started the protest. This is the eleventh time Young doctors go on strike. in less than two years. Negotiations are not moving forward. This young psychiatrist feels “ Exhausted… We don't like to strike. Our colleagues are accommodating, but we know that it puts pressure on everyone. We would like to stop, but we feel that we have no other option. »
One week before the elections, doctors consider the promises of the major parties in terms of health to be insufficient.
