MusicMagpie plc is expanding its network of SMARTDrop kiosks, starting this week with three new high-profile and popular sites. These are Manchester Arndale (Manchester), Cribbs Causeway (Bristol) and Willow Brook (Bristol). Each of these sites is located in a large shopping center and together they attract more than 50 million visitors a year.

musicMagpie completed an initial deployment of 290 SMARTDrop kiosks in Asda stores across the UK in October 2022, and these latest shopping mall kiosks, along with the Trafford Center (Manchester) kiosk announced earlier this year, represent installations additional ones in complementary locations, which offer better access to a greater number of customers. For customers, kiosks offer an even faster and easier way to recycle junk phones and get instant cash. Customers bring their phone to a kiosk, receive an assessment, deposit it, and receive money in their bank or PayPal account in minutes.

SMARTDrop kiosks have proven extremely popular with customers since their launch in November 2020 and now account for 45% of MusicMagpie’s UK supply of consumer technology. The group is looking to expand the reach of its SMARTDrop kiosks by placing them in new high-traffic locations across the country, making the sale and recycling of mobile devices even more convenient and accessible for consumers.
