Missing 6-year-old girl last seen in Oldham faces international persecution after leaving home with her father

A missing girl last seen in Oldham almost a week ago has become the subject of an international police search.

Inayah Kausar Mushtaq, 6, was brought to the UK after leaving her home in Barcelona with her father, according to the Spanish association for missing persons SOS Desaparecidos.

The young man’s desperate mother, Yousra Kausar, who is divorced from Inayah’s father and has now flown to England, said today / yesterday (MON) that police told her they believed the couple were still in the UK.

An alert would have been put up in all ports to prevent the young man from leaving Europe.

Speaking hours after SOS Disappeared confirmed that Inayah was with her anonymous father and disappeared on January 4 in Oldham, a concerned Yousra said: “My ex-husband came to visit our daughter that day.

“He said he was only going to spend an hour and a half with her, but then he texted saying he wouldn’t be back until the next day and he turned off his phone and never brought her back.”

“The next morning he sent me another message saying that they had left Europe and were in Turkey and were about to leave for another country with false passports containing names and dates of birth that had been changed. “

She told a Spanish TV show: “I’m in England now and her family says they don’t know anything, but the police here told me they didn’t believe my ex and daughter had left the country. UK and they thought they they were staying here.

“He left his sister a letter saying that he had been planning this for two years since I remarried. “

British police reportedly tried to geolocate the phone. Inayah’s father sent his January 5 message to Yousra.

SOS Disappeared, confirming the disappearance, said in a missing person alert about the disturbing case alongside a photo of Inayah: “Urgent. The six-year-old girl disappeared in Oldham on January 4.

“She is 3 feet 6 inches tall, slim, has long dark brown hair and has a mole under her right eye. She is with her father.

An unconfirmed local report said Inayah, described as Spanish, lived in the UK.

Her father, who is said to have family ties to Greater Manchester, has been separated from Inayah’s mother since she was three months old.

They divorced in 2018 but had joint custody of the six-year-old missing girl, though her father was only allowed to visit her during the day between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Pakistan has been mentioned as one of the countries Inayah could be taken to, although Yousra said today / yesterday (MON) that her ex told her when she claimed to be in Turkey that she was heading to another unidentified destination.

Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for comment.
