Miss Universe runner-up Sienna Weir dies at 23 after horse riding accident

An Australian Miss Universe finalist has died at the age of 23.

Friends and family of Sydney model Sienna Weir have paid tribute to their ‘angel’ after learning she was taken off life support on Thursday.

Sienna was involved in a horse riding accident on April 2.

She was riding at the Windsor Polo Grounds when her horse fell and was seriously injured before being taken to Westmead Hospital in Sydney in critical condition.

Tom Bull, Sienna’s partner, said on Instagram: “We loved each other with a love that was more than love. “

Sienna was an aspiring influencer who was a finalist from New South Wales for Miss Universe Australia in 2022.

Scoop Management, Sienna’s modeling agency, paid tribute to the young woman by posting a stunning video of her and a message that read: “Forever in our hearts”.

Photographer Chris Dwyer added: “You were one of the kindest souls in the world, you brightened up the room and the world is so much darker now that you’re gone.”

Sienna Weir has a double degree in English Literature and Psychology from the University of Sydney. She had previously told local media that she planned to move to the UK to pursue her career and “spend more time with my sister, my niece and my nephew, and expand my professional and social network”.

The jockey has often spoken of her passion for ‘cuddly’ horses and English literature, ‘particularly gothic poetry’, and how these two things set her apart from the 26 other contestants vying for the Miss Universe Australia 2022 crown.

“Although I have spent most of my life in the city, I have a deep and enduring love for jumps”he told Gold Coast Magazine in September 2022.”My family doesn’t know exactly where this passion comes from, but I’ve been riding since I was 3 years old and I can’t imagine my life without it.”
