Against Watford FC, the “Reds” are in great shape and celebrating a great victory. A former Bundesliga star dominated the top.

Former English soccer champion Liverpool FC, the team of team manager Jürgen Klopp, rose to the top of the table for the first time on matchday eight of the Premier League. The Reds prevailed at Watford FC after a superior performance at 5-0 (2-0). Former Hoffenheimer Roberto Firmino was successful three times.

Sadio Mane (9th), who scored for the hundredth time in the first division, Firmino (37th / 52nd / 90th + 1) and Mohamed Salah (54th) scored the goals for Klopp’s team. Senegalese Mane was the third African player to reach the 100-goal barrier in the Premier League after Didier Drogba and his teammate Salah (104 strokes each).

With 18 points, Liverpool replaced Champions League champion Chelsea (16) initially at the top of the table. However, the Blues with coach Thomas Tuchel can regain top spot on Saturday night thanks to a success at newly promoted Brentford FC.

After two draws against defending champions Manchester City (2: 2) and at Brentford (3: 3), Klopp’s club celebrated another Premier League victory.
