Lannion recruits 128 IT profiles with offers abroad

For this edition of back to school, more than a hundred positions for computer engineers and technicians will be filled on September 29 and 30, during the Work in Lannion recruitment event organized by the Anticipa technology park. The key is job opportunities abroad, mostly offered by telecommunications equipment manufacturers that have exported their technologies.

The Lannion area (Côtes-d’Armor) has a pool of digital companies looking for talent to complete their teams and optimize their development. This city of 20,000 inhabitants is home to more than 200 technology and industrial groups, representing 6,000 jobs including 3,500 IT profiles. To strengthen this ecosystem, the Anticipa technology park in partnership with Lannion Trégor Communauté and the Brittany Region organizes each year “Work in Lannion”. This recruitment event will take place on September 29 and 30 during lunch hours in virtual mode. For this back to school edition, 128 job offers they are offered by about twenty area-based recruiters. The profiles sought are varied: engineers, but also operators and technicians through support functions, from Bac level to Bac+8. They are mainly technicians (networks and telecommunications), application developers (back-end-front-end, fullstack) and also hardware engineers, data analysts, project managers, product managers, embedded software engineers and pen testers.

This year, the positions will be filled abroad by various actors from the Lannion territory who want to strengthen themselves there. They were responsible for 400 hires in 2021 and continue to grow in 2022. They include digital, telecommunications and photonics specialists. In this category, Lumibird is looking for IT profiles to strengthen in the United States and Japan. Along with it, Ekinops, which provides telecommunications solutions to 16 of the 30 largest operators in the world, recently strengthened its presence in North America, Brazil, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. The group is actively recruiting on almost all of its international sites. Eco-Counter is also looking to hire employees to work in conjunction with teams in North America to continue to develop.

Accompaniment for access to housing

Qualcomm, which chose Lannion to develop its 5G/6G platform, is also opening positions in San Diego. Other opportunities are offered to work in an international environment, in particular at Orange, Nokia, Ericsson, Eca Group, Oxxius or Exfo. During the 2 days of job dating organized remotely at lunchtime, the candidates will get to know the companies that are recruiting, their reception conditions and the assets of the territory. They will then be able to meet in dedicated rooms online with their potential employers. To help prospective employees find remote accommodation, Technopole Anticipa has also partnered with Carrières Nomades, a relocation agency that handles property selection and on-site visits.

Installation guides are also made available to companies for their future employees. “Welcome parties” are also planned to welcome newcomers and introduce them to the activities, walks, walks, sailing, kitesurfing, diving or cycling along the coast, which they can practice throughout the year.
