Another “sexiest man alive” has been crowned in Britain. For the second time, the majority chose presenter Jeremy Clarkson.
Jeremy Clarkson, best known as the presenter of Top Gear and The Grand Tour, has been named Britain's Sexiest Man Alive for the second year running. This news is based on a survey by dating website IllicitEncounters which asked 2,000 female members to rate a list of 50 of the “most famous and culturally relevant names” from last year. The rating scale ranged from 1 (least sexy) to 10 (very sexy), British newspaper “Daily Mirror” reports. Jeremy Clarkson received the most positive votes.
The 64-year-old has managed to push Spider-Man star Tom Holland to second place in the ranking. The other places are followed by Prince William, football manager Gareth Southgate and actor Cillian Murphy, known for his role in the film Oppenheimer. Also in the top ten are Idris Elba, actor from the series Luther, comedian Romesh Ranganathan, reality TV star Sam Thompson from Made in Chelsea, extreme athlete Russ Cook and TV presenter Dermot O'Leary.
Jeremy Clarkson is not only popular as a presenter. The 64-year-old's current project is the Amazon Prime documentary series “Clarkson's Farm”, which documents his life as a farmer on his Diddly Squat Farm in the southwest of England. Since 2021, the series has shown his often gruelling everyday life and the challenges of a modern farm – from sick animals to bad weather and high production costs. However, Clarkson approaches this with a lot of humour, which only increases his popularity among fans.
Last year, Jeremy Clarkson was voted the “Sexiest Man Alive” by Britons. Footballer Gary Lineker came in second, followed by Zara Tindall’s husband, former rugby player Mike Tindall. Ryan Reynolds also made it into the top 10. All three celebrities are no longer included in this year’s list. Prince William, on the other hand, is a new addition.
