Red Bull team principal Christan Horner believes the media is not entirely objective about the title fight between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. For example, the British media are logically on the side of the seven-time world champion and the Dutch do the same with Verstappen.

Horner believes that former world champion Damon Hill often goes overboard when it comes to Hamilton’s performance. For example, Hill thought Hamilton’s career in Brazil was one of the best in history and saw the incident at Silverstone primarily as overly aggressive action by Verstappen.

I’m not a fan of Max

Horner understands colored glasses, in conversation with him Telegraph“There is a British driver who has a chance to break the record for the most world titles.” The Red Bull team principal mainly sees that Hill has nothing to do with Verstappen: “Damon is not a fan of Max.” Horner concludes that from what he sees, but feels like Hill should answer that himself: “You should ask Damon himself, but he just doesn’t seem like a Max fan that’s how I see him.”

orange glasses

The Dutch media are also often accused of wearing orange glasses. Horner, therefore, sees similarities. “In the Netherlands you have to ask what Max can do and then say that he can walk on water. This is how reporting works, “concludes Horner.

title fight

The title fight will continue this weekend in Jeddah. Verstappen and Hamilton can still become world champions. The Dutchman has an eight-point advantage over his rival. For Hamilton it is important that he can continue with the good line of the last races.
