His trip to London remains a complete mystery.

Prince Harry is scheduled to return to London in early May. The journey remains largely a mystery to this day. But the first expectations are already being formulated.

Is Prince Harry coming to London in May? And if so, will he bring his family with him? These questions are still unresolved. In just a few weeks, the tenth anniversary celebrations of the Invictus Games will take place in the British capital. Prince Harry opened the sporting event for wounded and sick soldiers. The 39-year-old is expected to attend the anniversary celebration.

However, a possible return of Harry's wife, Duchess Meghan, to Britain is considered unlikely by royal experts. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior royals in 2020 and moved to the United States. They live in Montecito, California, with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

“Harry and Meghan's life takes place in the United States”

According to media reports, a church service for the Invictus Games will be held on May 8 at St. Paul's Cathedral in London. Harry or Meghan's participation has not yet been officially confirmed.

Marlene Koenig, a royal historian, expressed doubts about the Duchess of Sussex's return to Britain on the British news program “GB News.” “I don't think Meghan will visit the UK anytime soon. I think she's done with that. Unless there's something important like a funeral. But Harry and Meghan's life is in the United States.”

The Sussexes last visited the UK with their two children in June 2022, for Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee. Harry and Meghan also attended the Queen's state funeral in September 2022.

Prince Harry attended only a few appointments in England; for example, he was in London for several legal proceedings against the British press. Also for the coronation of his father Carlos III. On May 6, 2023 he appeared alone and quickly traveled home. His son Archie celebrates his birthday on May 6. This could also influence the Invictus Games celebrations.

“Sleepless nights” for Prince Harry?

Or will the Sussexes celebrate Archie's birthday with King Charles in England this time? The monarch, who rarely sees his grandchildren living in the United States, suffers from cancer. Prince Harry made a brief trip to London in early February after learning of the diagnosis.

Plans for the possible visit in May are now reportedly causing Harry unease. It would give Harry and Megan “sleepless nights” thinking about what to do, author and royal expert Tom Quinn believes, according to British tabloid The Mirror.

Harry will have to do something “to acknowledge the enormous difficulties his family is going through,” the expert continued. However, the Duke of Sussex will not do or say anything that appears “as if he does not unconditionally support his constantly offended wife.”

Can there be a reconciliation with William and Kate?

Prince Harry's last meeting with his father in early February is said to have only lasted a few minutes. Apparently, he didn't even see his brother, Prince William, or his wife, Princess Kate, during the short trip. Since the end of March it has been known that Kate also has cancer.

The relationship between Harry and his family is considered strained. After moving to the United States, the Sussexes attacked members of the royal family in interviews, a Netflix documentary and Harry's autobiography “Reserve.”

“Harry would like to reconcile with his sister-in-law, his brother and his father,” Tom Quinn told the Mirror. “He's much more relaxed about things now after speaking out on 'Reserve' and in several interviews, but he just doesn't know how to approach it and get Meghan on board.”
