According to Netflix, the documentary series “Harry & Meghan” has already been viewed in almost 33 million homes. The streaming service announced that the six episodes had aired around 179.26 million hours worldwide as of Sunday (December 18). Divided by the total duration of 5.5 hours, this equals 32.6 million households. In Great Britain, the documentary series on the royal couple has even become the most watched program in the streaming sector.
The first episode was watched by 4.5 million people in the UK within a week, Britain’s PA news agency reported, citing audience organization Barb. That’s more viewers than any other show in the streaming space has drawn in front of the screen, including the hit drama series “The Crown” (2.8 million).
British Prince Harry (38) and his wife, Duchess Meghan (41), tell in the documentary series how they experienced their departure from the British royal family and also raise accusations against the palace and the tabloid media. So far, the royal family has remained silent.
