The service provider has committed to allocate more storage space to support the growth of its client, with whom it has been working since 2008. In about fifteen years, GXO has gone from storing between 9,000 and 12,000 pallets a week, managing warehouses in five locations for Seb. A 20,000 m² logistics platform located in West Hallam, in the East Midlands region, is dedicated to the Seb group for the processing of products from Europe and Asia. “We are delighted to extend our collaboration of many years with the Seb group, which continues to develop its activity”says Gavin Williams, Managing Director of GXO UK & Ireland.
More automation and technologies in 2023
GXO relies on several advanced technologies to improve Seb’s productivity and profitability. “Through our commitment to continuous improvement, we are helping Groupe Seb’s omnichannel business deliver an exceptional customer experience in the UK and Ireland with our fully customized supply chain solutions. We successfully implemented an in-house WMS and by 2023 GXO will integrate additional automation and technology solutions, including AMR, handheld scanners and printers, and a conveyor, enabling order picking for multiple stores at once, enabling that reduces aisle trips by up to 50% and further improves order fulfillment efficiency.”says Gavin Williams. With the help of the service provider, Seb now manages products from 11 former storage sites in a single structure.
