London (AP) – British indie rock band Florence + The Machine have postponed several concerts in Britain after singer Florence Welch broke her foot. “Sorry but after the xray it looks like I danced on a broken foot yesterday,” Welch wrote on Twitter Saturday afternoon.
“It’s not like me to postpone a show, let alone a UK tour, but it hurts. And as dancers know, it’s not a good idea to dance with an injury. I was told not to perform again to avoid further damage”.
The band released their fifth studio album “Dance Fever” in May and kicked off their tour on Monday with a concert in Paris. Appearances in Cardiff and London followed. Eight more concerts in Britain will now be made up in the coming year, he said. “I can’t wait to get back on my feet and back into your arms,” Welch wrote.
