One trend we’ve seen in UK physical charts over the last few months is that multi-generational cross-platform games tend to sell better on PlayStation 5. In the latest breakdown, Far Cry 6. debuts at number two on the list. , having sold 47 percent of the copies on Sony’s new hardware. Likewise, Alan Wake Remastered was released last week and ranks fifth on the UK charts. The PS5 version of the ex-Xbox exclusive accounted for 63% of the shares.
Obviously, multi-format games aren’t always geared towards the PS5 – Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania is proof of that, easily selling the best on Switch last week, debuting in eighth position. Elsewhere on the table, unsurprisingly, FIFA 22 is still number one, while GTA V clings to 10th place, despite all the new releases.
