Oktoberfest boss makes Thomalla faux pas

The Munich “Abendzeitung” went looking for celebrities at the “Almauftrieb” in front of the Käfer’s Wiesn-Schänke on the second day of the Oktoberfest. According to the newspaper, the event has been full for months, so many celebrities can be found there. According to the report, Sophia Thiel, Désirée Nick and Roberto Blanco, for example, were present.

It is therefore not surprising that politician Clemens Baumgärtner did not want to miss the event either. After all, he is responsible for the Oktoberfest. “I’m glad when you can exchange a few words with celebrities,” he explains in an interview with “evening news“.

However, the politician is completely wrong in this assessment. The woman behind him was not Gitta Saxx, who was voted “Playmate of the Century” in 2000 and was already there at the jungle camp.

It wasn’t the former Playmate who walked past him at that moment, but Simone Thomalla. The actress and mother of presenter Sophia Thomalla is well-known enough not to be confused thanks to her multi-year role in Leipzig’s “Tatort”. But, evidently, this does not apply to the CSU politician.

When Baumgärtner realizes his mistake, he takes it all with humor. “Look, I don’t know much,” he told the newspaper Abendzeitung, laughing.

Obviously, Simone Thomalla still enjoyed her Oktoberfest appearance. She posted a photo of herself in a bright pink dress on Instagram and wrote: “I’m turning into a real Bavarian girl.”

Fans of the actress immediately suspected that she wanted to imitate the currently popular Barbie look. “What Barbie can do, our Simone has been able to do for a long time,” one enthusiastic fan wrote in the comments. Another simply comments “Barbiegirl!”
