(Boursier.com) — After a first success with Orange in Côte d’Ivoire with the installation of 5 NRO (optical connection node) shelters during fiscal year 2020-21, Orange Liberia signs a first order with Grolleau for the deployment and installation of two all-in-one modular shelters for its data center technical center in Monrovia, Liberia.

These two shelters will need to be built in a short amount of time and shipped before the end of the calendar year. This contract represents an amount of around 0.4 million euros, which will contribute to the income of the 2022-23 financial year. Installed less than a meter from each other, each will have its own functionality, one for energy and the other for telecommunications data, and will bring together all the latest technologies and Grolleau know-how. The structures will be equipped with various optimized cooling systems. The shelters will be remotely monitored and secured with the use of an electric lock, a fire suppression system and an anti-intrusion system with video surveillance.

In addition, Axione, a subsidiary of the Bouygues group, a leading player in the digital development of rural and urban areas, has chosen Grolleau for the deployment of NRO shelters in the United Kingdom. Axione has been a historic Grolleau customer since 2008 in France and now calls Grolleau internationally.

This lightweight shelter delivered in September 2022 to the City of St Andrews, Scotland follows the one to the City of Shotts, Scotland in May 2022. A further two NRO shelters should be delivered to Scotland by the end of the year based on the current Axione schedule. Other orders should follow as part of the fiber optic rollout in the UK.
