Joyn goes FAST! The streaming platform is expanding its free content offering to include entertaining FAST channels, from anime and international feature films to live sports and true crime. Through partnerships with wedotv and Palatin Media, Joyn complements the live television area with the classic “Free-Ad-Supported-Streaming-TV” (FAST).
Tassilo Raesig, CEO of Joyn: “With the new FAST channels on Joyn, we hope to further expand the extensive content offering for our users and thus make their favorite content accessible in an even more relaxed way. The FAST channels combine the The convenience of linear television with the innovative power of the streaming landscape. Many people crave classic, convenient and fast options without having to think much about what format they want to stream today – this is where we rely on our range of FAST channels and topic flows”.
The FAST offer at Joyn will be expanded further in the coming months. Palatin Media’s FAST channels “Naruto”, “Top True Crime” and “Craction”, as well as the wedotv channels “wedo sports”, “wedo movies” and “wedo big stories” are now available. All Joyn users in Germany and Austria can receive the 24-hour linear channels for free.
In addition, almost 60 “themed streams” are still available to users, offering curated, theme-based playlists under the “VOD” label, for example in genres such as comedies, action movies and KIDS. With these broadcasts, Joyn combines the best of two worlds: selection like on television and the ability to start the program whenever users want, like on VoD.
