Two weeks before the G20 meeting in New Delhi, a new conflict of interest affects the wife of the British Prime Minister. Akshata Murty is the heir to Infosys, a computer company valued at almost 60 billion pounds sterling – or 70 billion euros – whose shares amount to almost 500 million pounds sterling – or almost 600 million euros. However, her husband, Rishi Sunak, plans to sign an agreement with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi that favors Infosys services.

Contracts with the British government.

Infosys already has contracts with the British government and many companies in the country, and also aims to ease the visa system for Indians working in IT.

The Labor Party, the House of Commons and the Chamber of Commerce are calling on Her Majesty's former financier for greater political and financial transparency in relation to agreements between the United Kingdom and India, the country where his family comes from.

Cascade of revelations

Newspaper front pages last April cascaded with revelations about the couple's numerous tax evasion, at a time when British households are crumbling under inflation and numerous tax increases.
