In Britain, a teenager stole a car and ran over its owner while trying to stop him. He is still awaiting a verdict.
In Britain, a woman was run over by a 12-year-old boy. This is reported by the British “Guardian”. Thus, the 13-year-old boy confessed in court on Tuesday to being responsible for the death of the 60-year-old man.
The incident occurred in April in the town of Sheffield. According to the report, the boy who was 12 years old at the time would have stolen the car of those murdered. When she stepped behind the vehicle to stop him from walking away from her, he backed away and the woman fell to the ground and hurt her head.
Woman was pronounced dead at the scene
Her husband then tried to stop the boy. As evidenced by video camera recordings, he broke the car window to get the defendant out, but then drove again and fatally injured the woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 13-year-old boy was due to stand trial this week on murder charges. However, prosecutors said accusing the boy of this was unacceptable. Instead, he asked for the murder charge to be formally dismissed at sentencing and for the defendant to be found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving. An official verdict is still pending.
