SZ Podcast “On the Point” – News of October 1, 2021 – Politics

Long lines are currently forming in front of service stations in Britain, if there is any fuel. Many people wait hours to refuel their car. The problem is not gasoline or diesel, but the lack of truckers to bring fuel to service stations. Michael Neudecker, SZ London correspondent, explains what this has to do with Brexit.

Neudecker says that Brexit meant that many truckers had to leave the country. Now it is precisely this manpower that is lacking. And British politics still lack a long-term plan to replace them. Britain is even more divided when it comes to Brexit. And Neudecker expects more problems the country will face as a result of Brexit.
