Patrick Thiels Appointed Allianz Commercial Regional Country Director for France

While Allianz Commercial France (which will bring together AGCS France and Allianz France’s midcorp activities) is taking shape, Patrick Thiels will take over responsibility in France, with the support of Frédéric Baccelli. For her part, Nadia Côté will take command of Allianz Commercial in the United Kingdom.

The implementation of Allianz Commercial continues throughout the world and particularly in France, as we mentioned a few days ago in our columns. The German group has just announced a series of appointments in its main markets with the names of those who will supervise these activities dedicated to the risk business.

For France, Allianz Commercial’s activities will be overseen by Patrick Thiels as country general manager, assisted by Frédéric Baccelli, appointed deputy country general manager. “Patrick Thiels will report to AGCS CEO Joachim Mueller and Fabien Wathlé, Managing Director of Allianz France. He will lead the new integrated approach between the AGCS and Allianz France underwriting and distribution teams in the commercial insurance segment. Patrick Thiels will continue to be responsible for AGCS for the Mediterranean, Africa and Middle East region”we can read in a press release.

In addition, Nadia Côté, a former head of Chubb France who joined AGCS in November 2021 as regional head of London and the Nordics, will take over responsibility for Allianz Commercial UK, subject to regulatory approval. Finally, Phuong Ly is appointed head of Allianz Commercial in Australia when Hans-Jörg Mauthe will take over the activity in Germany.
